The film was directed by Chris McKay. It is the sequel to the 2014 film, The Lego Movie, and was released by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment on DVD and Blu-ray on December 16, 2016 and as digital download on July 2, 2016.

The film features the voices of Will Arnett, Alison Brie, Jordan Peele, Michael Cera, Jonah Hill, Morgan Freeman, Danny DeVito, Queen Latifah, and Peter Dinklage.
The film was inspired by the Lego company's own movie parody "The Lego Movie". The premise of the film is that various ninjas, under the leadership of Lord Business, are releasing villains into the world to take over the universe.
The film received a mixed response from critics and audiences alike.
The film is rated PG by the MPAA and was given a PG rating by USA Today.
Plot
In the aftermath of The Lego Movie, the evil Lord Business (Danny DeVito) continues to plot to take over the universe and sets out to kidnap all of the Masters of the Universe in order to take over the world and create a "perfect" universe. Meanwhile, on the planet Wild and his team of Masters, who are stranded on a deserted island, prepare for the next leg of their journey to the "mainland" to rescue the Master warriors.
After retrieving the fifth Master Warrior, He-Man (and his twin brother Teela, the only female warrior of the team), from an ancient temple, the team is attacked by the Evil Horde, a group of villainous robots led by Skeletor (Peter Dinklage), an evil version of He-Man. With He-Man's friends, Prince Adam (Will Arnett), the Prince of Eternia, Prince Adam's twin sister, Adora (Alison Brie), and the battle-hardened Battle Cat (Jordan Peele), they battle Skeletor's horde. With the help of Skeletor's own personal bodyguard, Trap-Jaw (Michael Cera), the Masters are able to destroy the Evil Horde.
